In the early 1990’s Hasbro came out with pregnant mother cat, dog, bear, and pony plush toys. These toys came in a variety of colors to choose from: pinks, purples, browns, teals. They had a velcro opening on their stomachs and a cloth pocket inside of them that held three, four, or five babies. Of course, every child wanted to get the mother who would “give birth” to five babies. How did the good 1990’s parent ensure that they would purchase the correct plush toy that had 5 babies as opposed to only 3?
Well, those poor parents had to settle for a lottery system: only 20% of the toys had the maximum of 5 babies; most had only 3. I am sure that there were many disappointed children out there, and many parents pulling out their own hair in frustration as they tried to console the crying birthday girl!

Hello! There are other versions in the surprise line that look slightly different than the ones featured in this article.
The best thing to do is log into eBay and type in hasbro surprise plush and then scroll through all of the items to hopefully find the one you are looking for.
Good luck to you!
