Definitely Dinosaurs by Playskool

Playskool Definitely Dinosaurs

Playskool Definitely Dinosaurs is a set of  dinosaurs and cavesters made in the 1980’s by Playskool.

They are made of plastic and they all have some moveable parts: necks, jaws etc. The moveable parts vary from dinosaur to dinosaur. Originally each dinosaur came with it’s own caveman or cavewoman, (these are also called cavesters).
The dinosaurs came in a variety of colors and sizes, from about 9″ to over 25″ long!! The largest of them are quite HUGE!
These were not ‘cute’ dinosaurs-but very realistic in presentation! Many of the dinosaurs, especially the large ones came with saddles would enable the cavesters to ‘ride-on’ the dinosaurs! Super cool! These accessories are rare! They are occasionally for sale but tend to be expensive.

These beloved dinosaurs have a cult following of adult collectors unlike any other dinosaur toys ever! They are rare and hard to find. If you are looking to ad to your collection I have compiled links to toys that are for sale on the web.

If you enjoy thrift stores and yard sales, occasionally but very rarely you may come across one of these great dinosaurs! Always look for the image of an imprinted dinosaur on the belly or leg. This will indicate to you that you are indeed looking at a genuine Playskool Definitely Dinosaur!

Wendy’s Definitely Dinosaurs

The figures were used by the Wendy’s chain as children’s meals premiums. The dinosaurs were released in a variety of different colors. The figures are hollow and have either a tail or head that moves. These figures hold up well and are easy to clean.

These figures were made to play alongside the dinosaurs. They are made of plastic and have move-able hips, shoulders, and necks. They are 3.5″ tall.

They have different skin tones and facial features to simulate different ethnicities. Some of the cavesters had names. Most Cavesters were male, but there is one cavester named Lexa that is female.

As far as I know there are 14 different cavemen (pictured below). Their names are as follows (left to right, top to bottom):
1. GREL
2. KRONAR

    Hi
Would you be interested in 3 prototype krag heads? I have a wax, hard cast, and a softer test shot.
